The GOST R certificate testifies that products conform to Russian standards and laws.\u00a0 This certificate is necessary for the exportation of products to Russia, for their passing through customs and their end use.\u00a0 The GOST R certificate can be obligatory or voluntary depending on the list of products approved by the Russian authorities.<\/p>\n

Depending on specific need, different types of GOST R certificate exist with different periods of validity, such as: <\/strong><\/span><\/p>\n

– Shipment GOST R certificate.<\/em> This certificate is valid for a single order \/ batch and remains valid for the entire life of the product mentioned on the certificate itself.\u00a0 It is issued following a control of documentation.\u00a0 The time scale for the issue of this certificate is 5-7 working days from the delivery of the necessary documentation.<\/p>\n

– Long-term GOST R certificate.<\/em> This type of certificate is issued for mass-produced products.\u00a0 It can be valid for a year or three years and allows the exportation of an unlimited amount of the certified products within the validity of the certification.\u00a0 The annual certificate is issued following the presentation and control of the necessary documentation by the Russian authorities.\u00a0 The time scale for its issue is 10-20 working days from the delivery of the necessary documentation.\u00a0 For the issue of a three-year certificate it is necessary to organise an inspection visit by accredited Russian inspectors at the manufacturing premises and deliver the necessary documentation. The time scale for its issue is 10-20 working days from the inspection visit and the delivery of the necessary documentation. If, on the basis of the list of products approved by the relevant Russian authorities, obligatory certification is not necessary, a request for a letter of exemption can be made.<\/p>\n

– Letter of exemption.<\/em> If the GOST R certification is not obligatory the relevant Russian authorities may issue a letter of exemption, which testifies that the products being exported are not subject to obligatory certification.\u00a0 The time scale for issue is 5-7 working days.<\/p>\n

– GOST R GOSSTROY Certificate<\/em>.\u00a0 This is a certificate of conformity for the materials and products used in construction.\u00a0 The time scale for issue is 20-30 working days from the delivery of the necessary documentation.<\/p>\n
